In the Manchester Derby, Eyes Hoping the Red Devils to Rise Soon

Juan Mata said the international break that will last for the next two weeks, should be used as a time of evaluation for Manchester United to get back on track.

United must recognize the superiority of City with a score of 3-1 in the Manchester derby, in the 12th week of the Premier League at Etihad Stadium on Sunday (11/11) night WIB. Pep Guardiola’s three goals were scored by David Silva, Sergio Aguero and substitute Ilkay Gundogan. While one Red Devils entertainment goal was created Anthony Martial through the white point.

This defeat cut the record of the previous two Red Devils’ away wins over Bournemouth and Juventus. The result makes Jose Mourinho’s men drop to 8th with a score of 20 points, 12 points behind City, who lead the standings.

In response to this defeat, Mata hopes his team can take valuable lessons and rise after the international break. He also regretted his team who could not take the momentum after winning two previous victories.

“Unfortunately, they are very contrasting. If after Turin we return home happily and positively, after the Manchester derby we clearly feel the opposite, “Mata told the club’s official website.

“This is a difficult defeat to take because this is a special match, which is very much awaited by our fans.

“We had the chance and the team fought hard, but they [Manchester City] performed better and nothing could be done but to congratulate them, besides focusing on efforts to improve performance to ensure that the second derby of the season will have different results. . .

“Against Juventus, we managed to get a very important victory, because it made us in a good position to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

“The group is tough and nothing is guaranteed, but winning in Turin allows us to depend on ourselves in our last two matches, which will be our turning point after the international break,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the defeat of City became the fourth for Mourinho’s troops in the Premier League. After the international break, the Red Devils will return to home to face Crystal Palace and four days later meet the Young Boys in the Champions League.
